3 EASY (AND COMFY) OVERNIGHT HEATLESS CURLS
/Speeding up that morning routine is always on our list- whether its for ourselves or our daughters, waking up with hair ready to go is so helpful... There are lots of ways to give yourself overnight curls, and I've tested them all! Here are my 3 favorite techniques for waking up curled. [video here]
3 easy and comfortable overnight heatless curls
Remember that the smoother the hair is when you wrap it, the smoother the curls will come out in the morning. So I recommend clean-ish hair that is fully dry for most hair types. I also recommend you use larger sections of hair to get looser curls, or if you do have resistant hair smaller sections will give you more holding power.
For those with SUPER curl resistant hair, you may try blow drying in a firm hold gel until you are about 90% dry, then wrapping and wearing overnight.
Pillow puff curlers These are the updated version of rag curlers, with a foam core and built in wire that makes using them much quicker with no knot tying required. I prefer the silk version for less frizz and tension on the hair.
Spa Headband This method lays the flattest on your head for a more comfortable sleep. Start with the band across your forehead while you wrap, after your hair is secured you can slide the band up onto the top of the head and secure with a claw clip if needed to ensure you have more comfort throughout the night.
Diet Coke Socks (or any long sock :) This one is my personal favorite because of the speed in which it goes in and out. If you have shorter hair you can actually use 4 socks; teo in front and teo in back to ensure the hair stays wrapped all night.
