The Winter season gives us a few excuses to get a little glammed up and to really take more time to polish up our look... think cozy dinners, family parties, and lots of reasons to celebrate. I've got three trending beauty ideas that are perfect for these special occasions... [video here]

  • 'Cold-girl' makeup - silly name... but the idea is a flushed cheek, and a rosy nose and lip as if you had just been outside in the cold winter air. Essentially this is a monochromatic pink look with a little bit more blush that you might wear normally.

  • Glazed Nails - this trend took off this Fall and it is still going strong... think about the ooey gooey icing on a donut but add a metallic twist. Milky whites, creams, and even beiges that are opaque with an iridescent finish.

  • Relaxed Updos - We haven't seen this much hair up in the last decade, but the resurgence of the claw clip has really changed that. Think cascading curls piled high on the head, relaxed buns, and yes the return of the 'pineapple' top bouncing out of a french twist.
