Fall 2022 is all about the BOTTLENECK bangs, the sassy younger sister of the CURTAIN BANG we’ve been loving over the last couple years. The Bottleneck bang features a shorter fringe through the center of the forehead that then disconnected into a curtain on either side of the eyes and cheekbones. You can see the comparison below with the curtain bang to the left and the bottleneck to the right. Both super cute fringe options that pair nicely with different lengths and thickness. But is this trend right for you and your particular face shape? This is a question every women should ask themselves before a haircut. How to find your face shape

  • Use an eye liner pencil to dot on 8 dots around the perimeter of your face

    • 1- center of forehead at hairline

    • 2 & 3 at the recessions of your hairline on the far sides of your forehead

    • 4 & 5 at the widest parts of your cheekbones

    • 6 & 7 at the back of the jaw

    • 8 at the center of the chin

  • Then connect the dots following your hairline and then using straight lines through the lower face to find your shape.

Once you've determined your shape, start to consider how your hair can frame your face. The lines of your hair cut around your face will draw the eye either out, up, down or in.
